Draft Beer Ingredients
Method
Draft Beer Brewing Directions
Boil Water
In a large brew kettle, boil 20 liters of water. Make sure to use clean, filtered water for the best flavor.
Add Malted Barley
Once the water is boiling, add 5 kilograms of malted barley to the kettle. Stir well to ensure the grains are fully soaked.
Mash
Allow the mixture to mash for about 60 minutes at a temperature of 65-70°C (149-158°F). This process converts the starches in the barley into fermentable sugars.
Strain and Boil
After 60 minutes, strain the liquid (wort) from the grains and return it to the kettle. Bring the wort back to a boil.
Add Hops
Once boiling, add 200 grams of hops to the wort. This will add bitterness and aroma to the beer. Boil for an additional 60 minutes.
Cool the Wort
After the boil, cool the wort quickly using a wort chiller or an ice bath to bring it down to about 20°C (68°F).
Pitch Yeast
Once the wort has cooled, transfer it to a sanitized fermentation vessel and pitch 11 grams of yeast into the wort. Seal the vessel with an airlock.
Fermentation
Allow the beer to ferment for about 1-2 weeks at a stable temperature of around 18-22°C (64-72°F) until fermentation is complete.
Add Priming Sugar
Before bottling, dissolve 100 grams of priming sugar in a small amount of boiling water and add it to the fermented beer. This will carbonate the beer.
Serve
After conditioning, chill the bottles in the refrigerator and serve the draft beer in a glass. Enjoy responsibly!
