Flatbread & Sauce

Method

Flatbread & Sauce

1

Preheat and prepare

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). If using a baking stone, place it in the oven while preheating. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper if not using a stone.

2

Season flatbreads

In a small bowl, combine olive oil and garlic powder. Brush or drizzle about 1/4 tablespoon of the oil mixture onto each flatbread, spreading evenly. This adds flavor and helps crisp the bottom.

3

Spread 3/4 tablespoon of ranch dressing over each flatbread, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges to prevent sogginess.

Toppings

4

Prepare toppings

If your smoked chicken is chilled, warm it gently in a skillet over medium heat for 2–3 minutes with a pinch of salt and black pepper until just warmed through. Crumble or chop cooked bacon into bits. Thinly slice red onion and shred the cheddar if not pre-shredded.

5

Divide the shredded cheddar evenly among the 4 flatbreads, sprinkling a thin, even layer on top of the ranch. This creates a cheese barrier that helps hold toppings in place.

6

Evenly distribute the warmed smoked chicken (about 1/2 cup per flatbread) over the cheese layer on each flatbread.

7

Scatter the bacon bits evenly (about 3/4 ounce per flatbread) and distribute the thinly sliced red onion evenly among the flatbreads.

Bake & Finish

8

Bake

Place the prepared flatbreads on the preheated stone or baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 8–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbling, and the flatbread edges are lightly golden and crisp. Rotate the baking sheet halfway through if necessary for even browning.

9

Remove flatbreads from the oven and let rest for 1–2 minutes to set.

10

Drizzle each flatbread with about 2 tablespoons (or to taste) of extra ranch dressing. If desired, drizzle a small amount (about 1/4 teaspoon) of hot honey or hot sauce over each for a sweet-heat contrast. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top for color.

11

Slice each flatbread into 4 pieces and serve immediately.
