House Cut Fries Ingredients

Method

House Cut Fries Directions

1

Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into thick strips to form fries, ensuring they are roughly the same size for even cooking.

2

Soak the Fries

Place the cut fries in a large bowl of cold water. Let them soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

3

Preheat the Oil

In a deep fryer or a large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

4

Dry the Fries

Drain the soaked fries and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel to remove excess moisture.

5

Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the fries to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until they are golden brown.

6

Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and drain them on paper towels. While still hot, sprinkle with sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika to taste.

7

Serve

Serve the house cut fries hot and enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce.
