Fried Fish Ingredients

Method

Fried Fish Directions

1

Prepare the Batter

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Gradually whisk in the buttermilk until the batter is smooth.

2

Heat the Oil

In a large, deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

3

Coat the Fish

Dip each fish fillet into the batter, ensuring it is well coated.

4

Fry the Fish

Carefully place the coated fish fillets into the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.

5

Drain and Serve

Remove the fried fish from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with lemon wedges and tartar sauce.
