Method

Caramelizing Onions and Cooking Mushrooms

1

Caramelize the Onions

In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of oil. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring frequently, for about 20-25 minutes until they are caramelized and golden brown.

2

Cook the Mushrooms

Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet with the onions. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are tender.

Cooking the Ribeye

3

Prepare the Ribeye

In a separate skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add the shaved ribeye and cook for about 3-4 minutes, until just browned. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Assembling the Sandwich

4

Assemble the Sandwich

Slice the French baguette in half lengthwise. Layer the cooked ribeye on the bottom half, followed by the caramelized onions, mushrooms, and Swiss cheese. Place the top half of the baguette over the fillings.
