Cocktail

Method

Glass preparation (optional)

  1. 1

    Rim the glass

If rimming, rub the lime wedge around the rim of a chilled coupe or rocks glass, then dip the wet rim into the coarse sugar to coat lightly. Set the glass aside.

Cocktail assembly

  1. 2

    Combine ingredients

Add Herradura Blanco Tequila (2 oz), Triple Sec (1 oz), raspberry syrup (0.5 oz), grenadine (0.25 oz), fresh lime juice (0.75 oz), and cranberry juice (1 oz) into a cocktail shaker.

  2. 3

    Add ice and shake

Add about 1 cup of ice to the shaker. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the shaker is cold to the touch and well chilled.

  3. 4

    Prepare serving glass

If serving over ice, fill a rocks glass with 1/2 cup fresh ice. If serving straight up, keep the prepared coupe chilled.

  4. 5

    Strain and serve

Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared glass (over fresh ice if using a rocks glass, or neat into the chilled coupe). The grenadine will settle slightly to create a subtle layered/holiday coloration; if desired, stir gently once to integrate.

Garnish

  1. 6

Thread 3 fresh raspberries onto a short cocktail pick and rest across the rim or float them in the drink. Add a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. For a festive touch, tuck a small rosemary sprig next to the raspberries to evoke a "mistletoe" holiday look.

Notes

  1. 7

Adjust sweetness by increasing or decreasing raspberry syrup and grenadine. For a tarter profile, add an extra 0.25 oz fresh lime juice. Use high-quality cranberry juice (or a tart cranberry blend) for best balance with the tequila.
