Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

  1. 1

    Prepare shaker

Add 8 ice cubes to a cocktail shaker to chill and briefly shake out excess water.

  2. 2

    Combine ingredients

Into the chilled shaker add 2 oz vodka, 1 oz mango liqueur, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, 0.75 oz passion fruit syrup, 2 oz fresh orange juice, and 0.25 oz simple syrup.

  3. 3

    Shake

Fill the shaker with ice (if not already full) and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is cold and slightly frosted.

  4. 4

    Prepare glass

Fill a chilled highball or Collins glass with fresh ice (crushed or cubed as preferred). If you want a layered neon look, add ice after double-straining as instructed below.

  5. 5

    Double strain and pour

Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared glass using both the shaker strainer and a fine mesh strainer to remove pulp and ice shards for a smooth, bright appearance.

  6. 6

    Top with fizz (optional)

If you want a light effervescence, gently float 1 oz club soda on top by pouring slowly over the back of a spoon.

Garnish & Finish

  1. 7

Place a lime wheel and an orange wheel on the rim or floated on top. Lightly dust 1/4 tsp edible neon cocktail glitter over the surface for a shimmering, neon-sunny appearance.

  2. 8

Serve immediately with a straw and an optional cocktail pick. Advise the drinker to stir gently once to incorporate any floated soda or glitter.
