The Original Margherita

In a bowl, crush the San Marzano tomatoes by hand or with a fork. Add salt to taste and mix well.

Preheat your oven to its highest temperature (usually around 250°C or 482°F) and place a pizza stone inside if you have one.

Preheat the Oven

On a lightly floured surface, stretch the pizza dough into a 12-inch round, ensuring the edges are slightly thicker for the crust.

Shape the Dough

Spread the crushed San Marzano tomato sauce evenly on the dough. Tear the Fior di Latte cheese into pieces and distribute it over the sauce. Add fresh basil leaves on top.

Assemble the Pizza

Transfer the pizza to the preheated oven (or onto the pizza stone) and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.

Bake the Pizza

Remove the pizza from the oven, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil, and let it cool for a minute before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy!
