Method

Preparing the Shrimp

1

Boil the Shrimp

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the 6 large shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Do not overcook.

2

Chill the Shrimp

Remove the shrimp from the boiling water and immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them chill for about 5 minutes.

3

Drain the Shrimp

Once chilled, drain the shrimp and pat them dry with paper towels.

Making the Cocktail Sauce

4

Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix together 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of prepared horseradish, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce.

5

Season the Sauce

Add a pinch of salt and black pepper to taste. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Serving the Dish

6

Plate the Shrimp

Arrange the chilled shrimp on a serving plate.

7

Serve with Sauce

Serve the shrimp alongside the cocktail sauce. Garnish with a lemon wedge on the side.
