Preparation
Prepare the Ingredients
Gather all ingredients needed for the omelette. If using vegetables, chop them into small pieces. If using meat, ensure it is cooked and diced. Grate or slice your cheese if necessary.
Cooking the Omelette
Beat the Eggs
In a mixing bowl, crack the 3 eggs. Add 1 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of black pepper. Whisk until the eggs are fully combined and slightly frothy.
Heat the Pan
In a non-stick skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat until melted and bubbling, ensuring the butter coats the bottom of the pan.
Add Fillings
Once the edges are set but the center is still slightly runny, sprinkle your choice of fillings (cheese, vegetables, cooked meat, and herbs) evenly over one half of the omelette.
Fold the Omelette
Using a spatula, gently fold the other half of the omelette over the filled half. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and the eggs are cooked through to your liking.
Serve
Carefully slide the omelette onto a plate. Cut in half if desired and serve hot. Enjoy your delicious three-egg omelette!
