Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Octopus

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the octopus for about 40-50 minutes or until tender. Remove and let cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Garlic and Chile

In a skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add smashed garlic cloves and chile de arbol, cooking until the garlic is browned and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add Octopus

Cut the octopus into bite-sized pieces and add to the skillet with the garlic and chile. Sauté for an additional 5-7 minutes, allowing the octopus to absorb the flavors.

  4. 4

    Finish with Lime Juice

Remove from heat and drizzle lime juice over the octopus. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss to combine.
