Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.

  2. 2

    Fry the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Fry the coated chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Dish

In a baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce. Place the fried chicken on top, then add more marinara sauce, slices of fresh mozzarella, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

  4. 4

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  5. 5

    Cook the Bucatini

While the chicken is baking, cook the bucatini pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the chicken parmigiana over a bed of bucatini pasta, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
