Method

Meatballs

  1. 1

    Prepare Meatball Mixture

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ricotta cheese, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form Meatballs

Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet.

  3. 3

    Bake Meatballs

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.

Marinara Sauce

  1. 4

    Sauté Vegetables

In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until translucent.

  2. 5

    Add Tomatoes

Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes, salt, sugar, and chopped basil. Let simmer for 15-20 minutes.

Crostini

  1. 6

    Prepare Crostini

Brush sliced baguette with olive oil and toast in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 5-7 minutes or until golden.

  2. 7

    Rub with Garlic

Once toasted, rub each slice with the whole garlic clove for extra flavor.

Assembly

  1. 8

    Serve

Serve the baked meatballs with marinara sauce on top, accompanied by garlic crostini on the side.
