Sliced turkey, lettuce, tomato, and mustard in a whole wheat wrap.

Fit Turkey Wrap

In a large brew kettle, heat 3 gallons of filtered water to approximately 165°F (74°C). Add the Pale Malt and Crystal Malt to the heated water, stirring well. Maintain the temperature at around 150°F (65°C) for 60 minutes.

Mashing the Grains

After the mashing time is complete, sparge the grains with an additional 2 gallons of heated water (around 170°F or 77°C) to rinse out sugars. Collect the wort in the brew kettle.

Sparging

Bring the wort to a rolling boil. Once boiling, add the Cascade Hops and boil for 60 minutes. In the last 15 minutes of the boil, add the Centennial Hops.

Boiling

After the boil is complete, cool the wort as quickly as possible using a wort chiller or an ice bath until it reaches around 70°F (21°C).

Cooling the Wort

Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermentation vessel. Sprinkle the Ale Yeast on top of the wort and seal with an airlock. Allow fermentation to take place at room temperature for 1-2 weeks, or until fermentation activity has ceased.

Fermentation

After fermentation, dissolve the Priming Sugar in a small amount of boiling water and cool. Add this to the beer before bottling to carbonate. Bottle the beer in sanitized bottles and cap them.

Bottling

Allow the bottles to condition at room temperature for 1-2 weeks. Keep the bottles upright and away from direct sunlight.
