Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

1

Chill glass

Place a coupe or martini glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to ensure it is well chilled.

2

If you prefer a sugared rim, rub a lime wedge around the glass rim and dip the rim into a shallow dish with the coarse sugar. Tap off any excess.

3

Fill a cocktail shaker with about 1 cup of ice.

4

Add 2 oz blood orange vodka, 0.75 oz orange liqueur, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and 1.5 oz cranberry juice to the shaker. If you like a slightly sweeter drink, add 0.25 oz simple syrup.

5

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds, until the exterior of the shaker is very cold and well-chilled.

6

Empty the chilled glass of ice water (if used). Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe or martini glass using a Hawthorne strainer and, if desired, a fine mesh strainer to remove small ice shards and pulp for a clean, smooth presentation.

Garnish & Serve

7

Garnish the cocktail with a blood orange wheel on the rim or a thin twist of blood orange peel. Optionally add a lime twist for brightness.

8

Serve immediately. Recommend: enjoy within 5 minutes while very cold. Recommend pairing with light snacks or small bites from the 'Cocktails & Cockpits' menu.
