Method

Cake Preparation

1

Prepare the Cake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.

2

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

3

Add Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Pour this mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until combined.

4

Bake the Cake

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

5

Prepare Milk Mixture

In a separate bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and cocoa powder.

6

Soak the Cake

Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes. Poke holes all over the cake with a fork and pour the milk mixture over the top, allowing it to soak in.

7

Chill the Cake

Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

8

Prepare Toppings

Before serving, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Spread it on top of the chilled cake.

9

Garnish

Top with sliced strawberries, drizzle with salted caramel sauce, and garnish with gourmet greens and micro mint leaves.
