Paloma-ish Base

Method

Prepare Glass

1

Salt the rim (optional)

Run a lime wedge around the rim of a highball or Collins glass. Dip the rim into a shallow plate of coarse salt to coat about half to three-quarters of the rim. Set glass aside.

Mix Paloma-ish Base

2

Add 2 oz Cut Above Agave Tequila (alcohol-free), 1 oz fresh grapefruit juice, 1/2 oz fresh lime juice and 1/2 tablespoon simple syrup into a cocktail shaker or mixing glass.

3

Fill the shaker or mixing glass with ice. Stir (or shake briefly if you prefer a slightly frothier texture) for about 10–15 seconds to chill and dilute slightly.

4

Strain the chilled mixture into the prepared highball/Collins glass filled with fresh cubed ice (about 1 cup).

Top & Garnish

5

Top the strained base with 3 oz Fever-Tree Grapefruit Soda. Pour gently to preserve carbonation.

6

Give the drink one gentle stir with a bar spoon (1–2 turns) to integrate the soda with the base without flattening it.

7

Garnish with a grapefruit wedge or wheel and a lime wheel on the rim. Serve immediately.
