1

Prepare glass and ice

Select a large wine glass or an old-fashioned glass and fill it generously with ice cubes. Chilling the glass briefly in the freezer (5–10 minutes) beforehand is optional but desirable for a colder drink.

2

Add Aperol

Pour 2 oz of chilled Aperol over the ice. Adding the Aperol first helps it sit below the Prosecco so you can get the classic layered pour if desired.

3

Add Prosecco

Slowly pour 3 oz of chilled Prosecco into the glass. Pour gently down the side of the glass or over the back of a spoon to minimize agitation and preserve carbonation.

4

Top with soda

Add 1 oz of chilled soda water to top the drink. Adjust slightly to taste if you prefer a lighter or stronger spritz.

5

Stir gently

Give the cocktail one or two gentle short stirs with a bar spoon to integrate the ingredients while keeping bubbles intact. Avoid vigorous stirring.

6

Garnish and serve

Garnish with 1 fresh orange wheel placed on the rim or floated in the glass. Serve immediately while cold and effervescent.
