Cocktail

Method

Prep

1

Optional salt rim

If you want a salted rim, rub a lime wedge around the outer rim of a rocks or coupe glass, then dip the rim into a shallow plate of coarse salt. Set the glass aside.

2

Measure all cocktail ingredients so they are ready at your station.

Mixing

3

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice (about 1 cup).

4

Add 2 oz El Jimador Silver tequila, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz Cointreau (or triple sec), and 0.5 tsp agave nectar into the shaker.

5

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds, or until the outside of the shaker feels very cold and slightly frosted. This chills and dilutes the cocktail to balance the flavors.

6

Strain the cocktail through a fine strainer (or the shaker strainer) into the prepared glass over fresh ice if serving on the rocks, or straight up into the glass if you prefer it neat.

Finish

7

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Optionally express the oils of a lime peel over the drink for extra aroma before dropping it in.

8

Serve immediately and enjoy responsibly.
