Method
Cocktail
- 1
Chill glass (optional)
If desired, place a large wine glass in the freezer for 5β10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare other ingredients to ensure the cocktail stays colder longer.
- 2
Fill a large wine glass generously with ice. The colder and fuller the glass, the better the drink will stay chilled and balanced.
- 3
Pour in the Prosecco first (2 oz). Pouring the sparkling wine first helps preserve bubbles and avoids excessive stirring.
- 4
Add the Aperol (3 oz) directly over the Prosecco. The classic ratio is roughly 3 parts Aperol to 2 parts Prosecco but can be adjusted to taste.
- 5
Top with soda water (1 oz). Gently add the soda to maintain effervescence.
- 6
Give the drink one gentle stir (1β2 slow turns) with a long bar spoon to combine the ingredients without flattening the bubbles.
- 7
Garnish with an orange slice placed on the rim or floated in the glass.
- 8
Serve immediately while cold and effervescent.
