Beverage Preparation

  1. 1

    Chill the bottle

If the Kingsdown bottle is not already chilled, place it in an ice bucket or refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. Serve still or sparkling according to guest preference.

  2. 2

    Prepare the glass

Select a clean highball or water glass. If desired, add 4–6 ice cubes to the glass. For best presentation with still water, serve without ice; with sparkling, ice is optional but helps keep it cold.

  3. 3

    Open the bottle

Carefully remove the cap or cork. For sparkling water, open slowly while tilting the bottle slightly away from people to control fizz and avoid overflow.

  4. 4

    Pour the water

Hold the glass at a slight angle (about 45°) and pour the Kingsdown mineral water gently down the side to reduce bubbling if sparkling, or straight into the glass if still. Fill to about 1 cm (½ inch) from the rim.

  5. 5

    Garnish (optional)

If requested, garnish with a lemon wedge placed on the rim or a sprig of fresh mint slipped into the glass. Do not squeeze the lemon into the water unless requested.

  6. 6

    Serve

Place the bottle (opened or unopened) alongside the filled glass on a small tray. Provide a straw or stirring spoon if the guest prefers. Replace cap on the bottle if there is any remaining water and store refrigerated.
