Sorbet Base

Method

Prepare the Sorbet Base

1

Blend the Fruit

In a blender, combine the fresh fruit of your choice, granulated sugar, water, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth.

2

Strain the Mixture

If desired, strain the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any pulp and seeds, creating a smoother sorbet base.

3

Freeze the Sorbet

Pour the strained mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer. Stir the mixture every 30 minutes for about 3-4 hours, or until it is firm yet scoopable.

Prepare the Mixed Berries

4

Wash the Berries

Rinse the strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries under cold water and drain them well.

5

Slice the Strawberries

Hull the strawberries and slice them into halves or quarters, depending on your preference.

Serve

6

Scoop and Plate

Using an ice cream scoop, serve two generous scoops of the sorbet into a bowl or serving dish.

7

Add Mixed Berries

Top the sorbet with the prepared mixed berries, arranging them artfully around the sorbet.

8

Enjoy

Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing seasonal sorbet with mixed berries!
