Cooking Instructions
Prepare the Seafood
Season the shrimp and salmon with Cajun seasoning on both sides.
Sear the Salmon
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes per side until cooked through and blackened. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Cook the Shrimp
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes or until they turn pink. Remove and set aside with the salmon.
Make the Cajun Gravy
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic, chopped onion, and bell pepper. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until softened. Then, add the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
Finish the Gravy
Stir in the heavy cream and lemon juice. Let it simmer for another 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Combine and Serve
Return the shrimp and salmon to the skillet, coating them in the gravy. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
