Preparation Directions

1

Prepare the Ginger and Juniper Base

In a saucepan, combine fresh ginger root, juniper berries, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 20 minutes.

2

Make the White Pepper Syrup

In another small saucepan, combine sugar, white peppercorns, and 1 cup water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Let it cool.

3

Combine Ingredients

Once the ginger and juniper mixture has cooled, strain it through a fine mesh sieve into a large bowl or pitcher. Add the white pepper syrup, lime juice, and sesame oil. Stir well to combine.

4

Serve

Chill the elixir in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving. Serve over ice or as desired.
