Method

Preparation

1

Clean the Mussels

Rinse the mussels under cold water and scrub the shells. Remove any beards.

2

Sauté Aromatics

In a large pot, heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and diced shallots and sauté until translucent.

3

Cook Mussels

Add the cleaned mussels to the pot, pour in the white wine, and cover. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the mussels open.

4

Finish the Sauce

Once mussels are cooked, add the remaining butter, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Stir gently to combine.

5

Serve

Serve the mussels in a bowl with the sauce. Accompany with Belgian frites and crostini on the side.
