Cheese Curds
Method
Preparation
Prepare the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Gradually whisk in the PBR until a smooth batter forms.
Heat the Oil
In a deep pot or fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
Batter the Cheese Curds
Dip each cheese curd into the batter, ensuring they are fully coated.
Fry the Curds
Carefully drop the battered cheese curds into the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Serve Warm
Serve the fried cheese curds warm with house-made ranch dressing for dipping.
