Method
Preparation
Prepare the Oysters
Thoroughly rinse the oysters under cold running water to remove any grit or sand. Use a scrub brush if necessary. Place the cleaned oysters on a baking sheet.
Garlic Butter Mixture
Make the Garlic Butter
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley, thyme, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Assembly
Top the Oysters
Preheat your grill or broiler on high heat. Spoon a generous amount of the garlic butter mixture over each oyster. Then, sprinkle a tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese on top of each oyster.
Cooking
Charbroil the Oysters
Place the baking sheet with the topped oysters on the grill or under the broiler. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and golden brown. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.
Serving
Serve the Oysters
Carefully remove the baking sheet from the grill or broiler. Let the oysters cool for a minute, then serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for extra flavor.
