Add olive brine
Measure 30 ml olive brine and add it to the mixing glass with the vodka and vermouth. (If you prefer a less 'dirty' martini, reduce to 15–20 ml; for extra dirty, increase to 40 ml. Stick with 30 ml for our 'Well-Mannered' balance.)

Optional finish
If using a lemon twist, express the oils over the surface of the drink by holding the twist skin-side down and giving it a firm pinch over the cocktail, then run the rind around the rim and discard or drop it in as desired.

Assemble the olives
Thread three blue cheese stuffed olives onto the cocktail pick. Space them so they sit nicely when rested across the rim of the glass (or lay the pick flat across the rim).
- 8
Garnish and serve
Gently place the olive pick into the cocktail (resting on the rim or floated) so the stuffed side faces up for visual appeal. Serve immediately while the drink is very cold.

Preparation and cleaning
Make sure your mixing glass/shaker, spoon, jigger, and strainer are clean and dry before use. Chill the martini glass as instructed above. Rinse and dry the cocktail pick before assembling the garnish. After serving, rinse tools promptly to prevent olive/brine residue from drying on stainless surfaces.
