Garnish & Glass Prep
1. Chill glass (optional)
If you prefer a chilled Margarita, place your serving glass (rocks or coupe) in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill with ice water while you mix the cocktail, then discard before pouring.

3. Measure and combine
Add 60 ml silver tequila, 30 ml fresh lime juice, 20 ml agave syrup and 15 ml orange liqueur (if using) into a cocktail shaker or mixing tin.
4. Add ice and shake
Fill the shaker with the 4 ice cubes. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds, until the shaker is very cold and the exterior is frosted. This both chills and dilutes the drink correctly.
5. Prepare serving
If serving on the rocks: add fresh ice to the salted-rim glass. If serving up: leave the glass empty or chilled as prepared.
6. Strain
Double-strain the cocktail (using a Hawthorne or fine mesh strainer) into the prepared glass—over fresh ice for a rocks-style Margarita, or straight into the chilled coupe for a up-style Margarita.
7. Garnish and finish
Garnish with the lime wheel on the rim or floated in the drink. Taste and, if needed, adjust sweetness by adding 5–10 ml more agave syrup (stir briefly) to taste.
8. Serve immediately. Enjoy responsibly.
