Method

Cocktail

  1. 1

    Chill glass

Place a coupe or martini glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes, or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to ensure the finished drink is cold.

  2. 2

    Combine ingredients

Add Reyka Vodka (50 ml), Caffè Borghetti Espresso Liqueur (30 ml), Frangelico (15 ml), Signature Cold Brew Coffee (30 ml) and the optional simple syrup (7.5 ml) into a cocktail shaker. Do not add ice yet.

  3. 3

    Dry shake

Seal the shaker and shake vigorously without ice for 10–15 seconds. This 'dry shake' helps incorporate the liqueurs and cold brew and begins to develop a light foam on top.

  4. 4

    Shake with ice

Open the shaker, add about 1.5 cups of ice, reseal, and shake very hard for 12–18 seconds (until the shaker is frosty and well chilled). This chills and dilutes the drink to balance the flavors and creates a smooth texture.

  5. 5

    Strain and serve

Dump the ice/water from your chilled glass (if used). Double-strain the cocktail through a fine strainer into the chilled coupe or martini glass to remove small ice shards and ensure a silky mouthfeel.

Garnish

  1. 6

Gently place three whole coffee beans on the foam in a triangular pattern. Serve immediately.
