Method

Steak Preparation

1

Seasoning the Steaks

Generously season the hanger, striploin, and ribeye steaks with salt and black pepper on both sides. Let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.

2

Cooking the Steaks

Preheat a grill or cast-iron skillet over high heat. Cook the steaks for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, adjusting the time for your desired doneness. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Fries Preparation

3

Preparing the Potatoes

Peel and cut the russet potatoes into thick fries. Soak them in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

4

Frying the Fries

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potatoes in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with Grana Padano cheese while hot.

Sauce Preparation

5

Serving the Sauces

Serve the steaks with a side of chimichurri sauce or green peppercorn sauce for dipping.

Optional Mushroom Topping

6

Sautéing the Mushrooms

In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add wild mushrooms and cook until tender. Season with salt and serve over the steaks.
