Bright, fresh & fruity notes of pear, crisp green apple & citrus.

Place the bottle of Pinot Grigio in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours prior to serving so it reaches about 45-50°F (7-10°C). If short on time, submerge bottle in an ice-water bath for 20-30 minutes.

Chill bottle

Once chilled, remove the bottle from the fridge or ice bath and dry it with a towel. Do not over-chill — Pinot Grigio is best served slightly cooler than cellar temperature to showcase its bright, fruity character.

Thinly core and slice a ripe pear into 6 slender slices and cut two lemon wheels. Rinse mint sprigs and pat dry. Keep garnishes chilled briefly if possible.

Prepare garnishes

Place 1 small ice cube or 1–2 regular ice cubes into each white wine glass if you prefer a colder, more casual presentation. Note: traditional service usually omits ice to avoid diluting the wine.

Pour about 4–5 ounces (120–150 ml) of Pinot Grigio into each white wine glass, filling roughly one-third to one-half of the glass to allow aroma development.

Garnish each glass with 1–2 thin pear slices and a lemon wheel on the rim or floated gently in the wine. Optionally tuck a small mint sprig alongside the pear for visual contrast and a subtle aromatic note.

Serve immediately with a chilled wine bucket nearby to keep the remaining bottle cool. Encourage guests to enjoy the bright pear, green apple, and citrus notes by sniffing before sipping.

If using a wine cooler or bucket, fill it halfway with ice and cold water and place the unpoured bottle inside to maintain ideal temperature between pours.

After serving, reseal the bottle with the original cork or a wine stopper and return it to the cooler. Opened Pinot Grigio will keep for 2–3 days refrigerated.
