Place the bottle of 1769 Sauvignon Blanc in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours prior to serving to reach 8–10°C (46–50°F). If you need it immediately, submerge the bottle in an ice bucket filled with equal parts ice and water for 20–30 minutes.

Chill the bottle

Remove the capsule and use a wine opener to carefully extract the cork. Wipe the bottle rim with a clean cloth or napkin to remove any cork debris.

Open the bottle

Prepare glassware. Use a chilled white wine glass. If serving multiple guests, have glasses pre-chilled in the fridge for 10–15 minutes.

Optional immediate chill: If you added ice cubes to the glass to cool it quickly, remove them before pouring to avoid watering the wine. Alternatively, leave a single cube if guests prefer a colder, slightly diluted wine.

Squeeze one lime wedge gently around the rim of each glass and drop the wedge into the glass for a subtle citrus aroma. Add garnish

Pour the wine. Hold the bottle at its base and pour about 125–150 ml (4–5 oz) per glass, filling to the widest part of the bowl for white wine so aromas collect. Rotate the bottle slightly at the end of the pour to prevent drips.

Tasting note & serving temperature. Serve immediately at 8–10°C (46–50°F). Note the wine’s bright aromas of passionfruit, lime and gooseberry; encourage guests to sniff before sipping to enjoy the full aromatic profile.

After serving, place the opened bottle back in an ice bucket with a small amount of water and ice to maintain temperature. Rinse glasses and tools with warm water and mild detergent; let them air dry or dry with a lint-free towel.
