Method
Falafel Preparation
Prepare the Falafel Mixture
In a food processor, combine canned chickpeas, parsley, garlic, cumin, coriander, baking powder, salt, black pepper, olive oil, and flour. Blend until a coarse mixture forms.
Shape the Falafel
Scoop the mixture and form into small balls or patties. Place them on a tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
Cook the Falafel
In a frying pan, heat oil over medium heat. Fry the falafel until golden brown on all sides, approximately 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
Wrap Assembly
Assemble the Wrap
Take a tortilla wrap, spread a layer of sweet garlic shawarma sauce, add sliced avocado, pickled beets, sun-dried tomatoes, and then place the fried falafel on top. Roll the wrap tightly.
Serve
Cut the wrap in half and serve with fries or a side salad.
