1

Prepare and chill

If desired, chill a coupe or martini glass by filling it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail. Alternatively, place the glass in the freezer for a few minutes.

2

Measure and combine

Add 2 oz Empress Indigo gin, 0.75 oz St. Germain, 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup into a cocktail shaker.

3

Add ice and shake

Fill the shaker with ice (approximately 4–6 medium cubes). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels cold and slightly frosty. This both chills and dilutes the drink to proper balance.

4

Prepare glass

Dump the ice water from the chilled glass (if you chilled it). If not chilling, you can place a coupe or martini glass nearby.

5

Double strain and serve

Strain the cocktail through a fine-mesh strainer into the chilled coupe or martini glass to remove small ice shards and pulp from the lemon juice for a clean appearance.

6

Garnish

Express a lemon twist over the drink to release oils, then drop it into or rest it on the rim. Alternatively, float a thin lemon wheel on the surface. Serve immediately.
