Method

Cocktail

1

Chill glass

Place a coupe or martini glass in the freezer for at least 5 minutes, or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to thoroughly chill.

2

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey, 1 oz Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur, 1 oz cold brew coffee, 0.25 oz simple syrup, and 6 ice cubes.

3

Dry shake (optional)

If you prefer a slightly frothier texture, first shake without ice for 8–10 seconds to integrate the liqueur and cold brew, then proceed to the next step. This is optional.

4

Shake with ice

Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker becomes very cold and slightly frosted. This chills and dilutes the cocktail to the right balance.

5

Fine strain

Empty the ice or water from the chilled glass. Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe or martini glass using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer to remove any small ice shards and ensure a clean, silky texture.

Garnish & Serve

6

Garnish the drink by floating 3 whole coffee beans on the surface. Optionally express an orange twist over the cocktail: hold the twist over the glass, skin side down, and give it a quick snap to release oils, then rim the glass with the twist and drop it in or discard as preferred.

7

Serve immediately while cold. Recommend serving with a small napkin or coaster; no straw is necessary.
