Boba Tea Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

1

Cook the Tapioca Pearls

In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the tapioca pearls and stir gently. Cook according to package instructions, typically 5-10 minutes, until the pearls are translucent. Remove from heat and drain.

2

Sweeten the Pearls

In a bowl, mix the cooked tapioca pearls with 1/2 cup of sugar. Allow to sit for at least 30 minutes to absorb the sweetness.

3

Brew the Tea

In a separate pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the black tea leaves and steep for 5 minutes. Strain and let cool.

4

Assemble the Boba Tea

In a glass, add a generous portion of the sweetened tapioca pearls. Pour in the brewed tea and milk, then add flavored syrup if desired. Finally, add ice cubes and stir well before serving.
