Tulipano Cocktail
Method
Tulipano Cocktail
- 1
- 2
Combine ingredients
In a cocktail shaker add 2 oz gin, 0.5 oz St. Germain elderflower liqueur, 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice, 1 oz white cranberry juice, 0.5 oz simple syrup, 2 dashes orange bitters and 0.5 of an egg white (if using).
- 3
Dry shake
If using egg white: seal the shaker and shake vigorously without ice for 10β15 seconds to emulsify and create foam.
- 4
Wet shake
Add a generous handful of ice (about 1 cup) to the shaker. Shake vigorously for 12β15 seconds until the shaker is cold to the touch and the exterior has a light frost.
- 5
Double strain
Discard the ice from the chilled glass. Strain the cocktail through a fine mesh strainer (and the shaker's strainer) into the chilled coupe or martini glass to remove small ice shards and any solids, ensuring a silky texture and clear presentation.
- 6
Garnish
Express a lemon twist over the drink (squeeze and rub the peel around the rim) and discard or place the twist on the rim. Float a single edible flower petal or a small edible blossom gently on the foam or surface of the cocktail.
- 7
Serve
Serve immediately while cold. Advise guests about the egg white if used.
