Preparing the Fries

Cut the Potatoes
Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick to make fries.

Heat the Oil
In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Potatoes
Drain and pat dry the soaked potatoes. Fry them in batches in the hot oil for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

Season the Fries
Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Immediately sprinkle with salt to taste.

Pat the ribeye steak dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

Making Garlic Butter

Melt the Butter
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter.

Add Garlic and Parsley
Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the melted butter. Cook for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, then stir in the chopped parsley and a pinch of salt.
