Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Method

Steak

  1. 1

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, approximately 450°F (232°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Steak

Brush both sides of the ribeye steaks with olive oil. Season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time for your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked to your liking, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

  1. 5

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into quarters. Place them in a pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 6

    Cook the Garlic

While the potatoes are boiling, peel and mince the garlic cloves. In a small saucepan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat and sauté the garlic until fragrant, about 2 minutes.

  3. 7

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the cooked potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the sautéed garlic, remaining butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

  4. 8

    Serve

Plate the garlic mashed potatoes alongside the grilled ribeye steak for a delicious meal.
