Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brussels Sprouts

Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged leaves. Cut each sprout in half from top to bottom.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the bacon slices. Cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon from the skillet and place on a paper towel to drain excess grease. Once cooled, crumble the bacon into small pieces.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sauté Brussels Sprouts

In the same skillet with the bacon drippings, add olive oil if necessary. Add the halved Brussels sprouts, salt, and black pepper. Sauté for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sprouts are golden brown and tender.

  2. 4

    Add Balsamic Glaze

Once the Brussels sprouts are cooked, drizzle the balsamic glaze over them and stir to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the glaze is warm and slightly thickened.

Serving

  1. 5

    Combine and Serve

Remove the Brussels sprouts from heat, add the crumbled bacon, and gently toss to combine. Serve warm, garnished with extra balsamic glaze if desired.
