Fried Shrimp

Method

Cooking Directions

1

Prepare the Shrimp

In a bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.

2

Coat the Shrimp

Dip each shrimp first into the egg mixture, then coat it with the flour mixture, ensuring it's well-covered.

3

Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the oil to 350°F (175°C).

4

Fry the Shrimp

Carefully place the coated shrimp in the hot oil, frying them in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

5

Drain and Serve

Remove the fried shrimp from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with hand-cut fries and coleslaw.
