Preparing the Key Lime Pie

1. Make the Crust

Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.

2. Prepare the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Add the key lime juice and lime zest, whisking until well combined.

3. Combine and Bake

Pour the filling into the cooled crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the filling is set but still slightly jiggly in the center. Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature.

4. Make the Topping
