Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Steak

Take the rib eye steak out of the refrigerator and let it rest at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before cooking.

2

Season the Steak

Generously season both sides of the steak with sea salt and ground black pepper.

3

Heat the Pan

In a heavy skillet, preferably cast iron, heat over high heat until very hot, about 5 minutes.

4

Sear the Steak

Add the rib eye steak to the pan and sear for 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it.

5

Add Butter and Aromatics

Flip the steak and add unsalted butter, crushed garlic cloves, and fresh rosemary to the pan. As the butter melts, use a spoon to baste the steak with the melted butter for enhanced flavor.

6

Cook to Desired Doneness

Continue cooking the steak for another 4-5 minutes, basting frequently, until it reaches your desired doneness (130°F for medium-rare).

7

Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for at least 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

8

Serve

Slice against the grain and serve immediately, drizzled with the remaining buttery juices from the pan.
