Classic Mimosa
Method
Classic Mimosa
- 1
Chill glass and ingredients
Place your sparkling wine and freshly squeezed orange juice in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving. If you prefer a very cold glass, fill the serving flute with ice and cold water and let sit for 2–3 minutes, then discard before assembling.

- 3
Pour orange juice
Pour 1/2 cup (about 120 ml) of chilled orange juice into the flute. Pour gently to avoid splashing.
- 4
Top with sparkling wine
Slowly add 1/2 cup (about 120 ml) of chilled sparkling wine to the flute. Pour at an angle down the side of the glass to preserve bubbles and reduce foaming. The classic ratio is 1:1, but adjust to taste (more wine for drier, more juice for sweeter).
- 5
Garnish and serve
Garnish with an orange wheel or a thin orange twist on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately while bubbles are lively.
