Method

Cocktail

1

Prepare cucumber

Wash the cucumber. Cut 3 thin slices suitable for muddling and reserve an additional thin wheel or a long thin ribbon for garnish.

2

Muddle

In a cocktail shaker, place the 3 cucumber slices and 0.5 oz simple syrup. Gently muddle 6–8 times until the cucumber releases juice and aroma but does not become puréed.

3

Add spirits and citrus

Add 2 oz Blind Tiger gin, 0.75 oz St‑Germain, and 0.75 oz fresh lime juice to the shaker.

4

Shake with ice

Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup), cap, and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is very cold and slightly frosted.

5

Double strain and serve

Using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer, double-strain the contents into a chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass (or a rocks glass over fresh ice if preferred) to remove cucumber solids and small ice shards.

6

Garnish

Float a cucumber wheel or place a cucumber ribbon along the inside of the glass; optionally add a lime wheel on the rim.

7

Final note

Taste and adjust: if you prefer it sweeter, add another 0.25 oz simple; if brighter, add 0.25 oz lime. Serve immediately.
