Method
Cereals (choose and prepare)
- 1
Select cereal
Choose one boxed cereal from the available list (Rice Krispies, Corn Pops, Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops, Special K, All-Bran, Corn Flakes, or Raisin Bran). For a single serving, measure 1 cup of the selected cereal into a serving bowl. If you want a combo, combine up to two cereals (1/2 cup each) to total 1 cup.
- 2
If using Raisin Bran or cereals with dried fruit, stir gently to distribute the raisins evenly through the cereal so each spoonful gets fruit.
Milk & dairy (optional)

Fresh Berries (side)
- 4
Rinse and prep berries
Place strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries in a colander. Rinse thoroughly under cold running water, gently tossing them to remove dirt. For strawberries, hull and quarter them. For delicate raspberries and blackberries, handle gently to avoid crushing.

- 6
Portion the berries into a small side bowl or ramekin: 1/2 cup combined of mixed berries for a lighter side or up to 2 cups for a larger portion. The recipe lists 1 cup strawberries + 1 cup blueberries + 1/2 cup raspberries + 1/2 cup blackberries as a family-style platter — for a single serving take about 1 cup total mixed berries.
Optional toppings & assembly
- 7
If you like banana on cereal, slice 1 banana and arrange on top of the cereal or on the side. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons chopped nuts or 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon over the cereal or berries, if desired.
- 8
If you prefer sweeter berries or cereal, drizzle up to 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup over the berries or cereal just before serving.
- 9
Serve immediately so cereal stays crisp. Offer milk and berries separately so each diner can combine as they like.
