Method

Make the Tea

1

Prepare the Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

2

Steep the Tea

Once the water is boiling, add 4 tablespoons of Thai tea leaves and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Stir to dissolve the sugar.

3

Simmer and Cool

Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes. Then, remove from the heat and let the tea steep for an additional 10-15 minutes.

4

Strain the Tea

Using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, strain the tea into a heatproof container to remove the tea leaves. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.

Prepare the Milk Mixture

5

Combine Milk Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons of condensed milk with 1 cup of whole milk or coconut milk. Stir until well combined.

Assemble and Serve

6

Fill the Glass

In a tall glass, add 2 cups of ice cubes.

7

Pour the Tea

Pour the cooled Thai tea over the ice until the glass is about two-thirds full.

8

Add Milk

Top with the milk mixture, pouring gently to create a layered effect if desired.

9

Stir and Enjoy

Give the drink a gentle stir to combine and enjoy your refreshing Thai iced tea!
