Method

Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Dough

In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, salt, and vegetable oil. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in flour until well combined. Allow the mixture to cool for about 5 minutes.

2

Add Eggs

Once the dough has cooled slightly, add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the dough is smooth and glossy.

3

Heat Oil

In a deep saucepan or fryer, heat oil to 375°F (190°C).

4

Pipe the Churros

Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe small strips (about 3-4 inches long) directly into the hot oil, cutting with scissors as you go.

5

Fry the Churros

Fry the churros until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

6

Coat with Cinnamon Sugar

In a small bowl, mix together granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Roll the warm churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture until well coated.

7

Serve

Serve the mini churros warm with chocolate sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
