Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Yucca

Peel the yucca, remove the tough center, and cut it into 2-inch pieces.

2

Boil the Yucca

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the yucca pieces and boil for about 15-20 minutes until they are tender but not falling apart. Drain and let cool slightly.

3

Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

4

Fry the Yucca

Carefully add the boiled yucca pieces to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per batch.

5

Season

Remove the fried yucca and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. While still hot, sprinkle with salt, garlic powder, and pepper.

6

Serve

Serve hot as a snack or side dish, optionally with dipping sauces.
